The partnership between the shipyard’s new dealer and Cantieri Estensi Yachts, started a few months ago, proceeds successfully with great satisfaction, from both sides, for the first achievements, such as the increasing number of visits to the new website and the Maine 645 sale at the past Cannes Yachting Festival.

At an event reminiscent of Oscar night on the Croisette in Cannes, Azimut’s yachts were crowned by an international jury with some of the most sought-after awards in the yachting industry.

They represent yet another acknowledgement of the shipyard’s ongoing major investments in research and development to consolidate and improve its position as world leader.

Congress and shows

During the Cannes Yachting Festival which runs from 12 to 17 September, Azimut Yachts in Azimut Benetti Group, the world’s leading private group in the yachting world, presents four new models: Azimut Grande 35METRI, Azimut Grande 27METRI, Azimut S7 and Azimut 60 Fly.

Each yacht bears the unmistakable hallmark of longtime Azimut designer Stefano Righini, known for his innovative concepts, and features interiors by Achille Salvagni and Francesco Guida.

All four models, which have already aroused significant sales interest, represent the epitome of innovation, technology and design in their respective segments and are destined to be leading players at this autumn’s key boat shows.*

Azimut Grande 35METRI and Azimut Grande 27METRI are the new additions to the brand’s elite range, the Grande Collection. The use of carbon fibre means greater on board space without sacrificing static and dynamic stability levels. The 35Metri, the collection’s new flagship, boasts an exceptionally streamlined internal design, characterised by the master suite’s unique swivelling balcony, which opens out directly onto the sea.

The Grande 27METRI features a wide body with full beam master suite on the main deck and a choice of three or four cabins on the lower deck, a layout practically unheard of in yachts of this size.

The superior technology of the Azimut S7 has revolutionised the sporting motor yacht concept not only with its use of carbon fibre but also its non-conventional approach to spatial distribution. The S7, comprising two versions (Coupé and Sportfly), boasts a wonderfully innovative interior design created by Francesco Guida in his debut collaboration with Azimut, unprecedented spaciousness below deck and three Volvo IPS engines.

Last but certainly not least, the sleek, bold and eye-catching Azimut 60 Flybridge is a striking yacht, with its unusually large flybridge and stunning interiors of the sort usually found on mega yachts. Features include full-height windows and a series of lounge areas which create tiny islands of privacy, a luxury seldom found in boats of this size.

The Cannes Yachting Festival, which opens the international boat show season, sees a fleet of 19 yachts from the Italian shipyard on show, ranging from 10 to 40 metres. It also marks the global debut of the company’s new brand strategy: La Dolce Vita 3.0, which brings together luxury, joie de vivre and Made in Italy at the state-of-the-art, the hallmark characteristics of the Azimut Yachts brand.

Choosing Azimut Yachts means entering a world in which an unparalleled level of technological research and a matchless attention to comfort are combined with that inimitable Italian style which has captivated the world since time immemorial.

On top of this, the four new models can also lay claim to a stunning aesthetic born of the collaboration between internationally renowned interior designers Salvagni and Guida and longstanding Azimut Yachts partner Stefano Righini.

The Cannes Yachting Festival will also provide an opportunity to present the team from Azimut Yachts France, the new exclusive dealer in one of the brand’s key European markets.

But that’s not the end of the news on the commercial front: Azimut Yachts is consolidating its presence in Europe with new dealerships in the UK, as well as entering new waters with its launch on two promising new markets, Slovenia and Lithuania, involving the creation of Azimut Yachts Slovenia and Azimut Yachts Lithuania. In the United Kingdom, Azimut Yachts has entrusted its distribution to Southampton-based Azimut Yachts UK, who are charged with the task of transmitting the Italian brand’s DNA to the Anglo-Saxon market.

For the tenth edition of the exclusive Yachting Gala, organised by Azimut|Benetti Group to bring owners together from all over the world, the Group has chosen the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the gorgeous setting of Porto Cervo in Sardinia.

From America to China and from Brazil to Australia, over 700 owners arrived in Porto Cervo for the weekend of June 24-25, where they had the chance to admire world previews of the new gems in the Azimut collection: the Azimut Grande 27 Metri and the Azimut Grande 35 Metri, which will be making its official debut next September at the Cannes Boat Show. Selected owners were also able to put the remarkable propulsion system developed exclusively by Rolls Royce to the test on the Benetti Fast 125’. Azimut|Benetti Group also showcased the other models in the Azimut and Benetti ranges, with a total of 25 yachts.

At the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, which is one of the most famous yacht clubs in the world and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, an “Azimut Benetti Village” was set up for guests to admire and test drive the yachts in the fleet, as well as enjoying the entertainment laid on exclusively for them. They also had a chance to discover Costa Smeralda, with guided tours of the local area, excursions to the most beautiful bays, fine food and wine experiences featuring the local cuisine and Sardinian vermouths, plus the finest local craft products.

An ambassador for Made in Italy, Azimut|Benetti Group united the world’s top Italian lifestyle trend-setters in Porto Cervo.

Sipping glasses of Ferrari Trento, guests were treated to a trunk show organised by Ermenegildo Zegna with Creative Director Alessandro Sartori, while a yacht provided the venue for the ladies to admire precious jewellery creations by Bulgari, accompanied by Creative Director Lucia Silvestri. Frette, which curated the decor of the boats on display and created the special one-off colour used for the table linen at the gala dinner, offered guests an exclusive bespoke service, while the designers from Rubelli provided private interior design advice in a lounge with a spectacular sea view.

After the gala dinner held on the Yacht Club terrace, electronic music, digital effects and firework displays provided the backdrop for an evocative night yacht parade to celebrate the present and welcome in the future under the banner of cutting edge technology and Italian style. The virtuoso musical entertainment was provided by pianist Matthew Lee and his eccentric performances.

Presiding over the event was the host Paolo Vitelli, Founder and Chairman of the Group, joined by the new generation of Group managers: Azimut|Benetti Group Vice President Giovanna Vitelli, Azimut Yachts Business Unit General Manager Marco Valle, Benetti CEO Vincenzo Poerio and Benetti Megayachts Business Unit General Manager Christos Ramnialis. A message of continuity for Azimut|Benetti Group, the world’s leading builder of mega yachts, which looks to the future with enthusiasm, while continuing to assert and extend its leadership in the promising giga yacht segment too.
