CMC Marine has increased twofold the number of certified operators in its service network and many of them met in Cascina, Pisa, from January 21 to 24, for the second event organised specifically for them. Operators from various countries in Europe, the USA and Asia took advantage of this important opportunity to align their strategies and refresh their training.

Service and assistance have always been a key point of focus for CMC Marine, which over the last year has increased twofold the number of certified operators in its service network. For this reason, and remembering what a huge success the first event was, the Italian company based in Pisa has decided to replicate the Convention for service points worldwide, with operators taking part from 11 sites in Europe(France, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Albania, Greece and Turkey), Asia (Hong Kong and the Arab Emirates) and North America (United States).

For this reason, from January 21 to 24, company headquarters in Cascinaplayed host to the second CMC Marine Service Convention, which confirmed its importance as an opportunity to learn more and to meet, as well as offering plenty of time for technical training.

Representatives of the Company’s service points were enthusiastic attendees of the event, where they had the chance to look in more detail at new products and discuss the best sales strategies to adopt in the various geographical areas.

For its part, CMC Marine updated attendees on projects underway and how to approach the new season, offering them resources and tools to perform their work in the best possible way. The working sessions gave the various operators an opportunity to present any problems or doubts to the company’s engineers and managers, as well as to discuss the best solutions.

While on one hand the event was organised and seen as a moment of growth and sharing, in which to take stock of the work performed in the various areas, on the other it represented a constructive way to start the new year with a more comprehensive baggage of know-how and experiences.

As can be seen, CMC Marine has chosen to continue on the path of offering an increasingly comprehensive and most importantly a global service, in order to offer all customers the same level of quality wherever they are in the world.

Benetti is pleased to announce the sale of the first unit of the Diamond 145 model, the 44-meter displacement yacht presented last September during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018. The exterior lines, featuring huge glazed surfaces that accentuate the length of the yacht and ensure that the interiors are flooded with natural light, are the work of Giorgio M. Cassetta. The interiors feature light colour shades to decorate the yacht’s roomy, welcoming settings.

The year couldn’t have got off to a better start for Benetti. The Shipyard proudly announces the sale of the first Diamond 145 unit. The new flagship in the Class product line is a yacht that symbolises power and balance.

Benetti’s CEO Franco Fusignani expressed his great satisfaction at the signing of the contract: “Diamond 145 was presented only four months ago but right from the design stage we realised it was a model with incredible potential, representing the perfect synthesis of the core features of the Benetti Displacement Class across its entire history. BP001 is currently being fitted out at the Viareggio shipyard and will be delivered to her owner on the second half of 2019”.

Diamond 145 is a yacht with a discreet sense of luxury that amazes even the most demanding owners when it comes to style, comfort and safety. She is an elegant yacht, with proportions and details that suggest important interior and exterior volumes, as well as conveying a sense of strength and power.

The sleek and clean exterior lines designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta embrace the proportions of a big yacht, with superstructure masses that are refined and dynamic, high hull sides and an extremely long reverse sheer line.

The interiors, customised to reflect the owner’s tastes, features curved lines uniting big, welcoming settings flooded with natural light. In here, light colourways bring a cosmopolitan sophistication and elegance to a timeless yacht. As well as the spacious interior volumes, another feature of this yacht, are the extensive glazed surfaces not only in the saloons, but also in the guest accommodation and the owner’s cabin. The Master-cabin is full-beam, with a big wardrobe, a full-beam bathroom and an office, and occupies the bow area on the Main Deck.

Amidships on the Main Deck are the galley and services area, with a big saloon further aft. At the owner’s request, it was decided to leave more space for the lounge area furnished with big sofas in the main saloon. The dining area has been moved to the Upper Deck. The Lower Deck contains the night area for guests, with four double cabins and a separate area for the crew accommodation. Outside, a low table and various sofas offer pleasant opportunities to relax both at sea and at anchor.

The beach club in the stern is designed to be at water level, in such a way as to make the space both independent and versatile, as well as being stunning to look at.

Two 1,400 hp Man engines drive BP001 to a top speed of 15 knots and at a cruising speed of 11 knots the yacht has a range of 3,800 nautical miles.

The Grande Collection by Azimut Yachts receives its second award since the start of the year: the Grande 32 Metri, with exteriors by Stefano Righini and interiors by Achille Salvagni, climbs to the top step of the podium in the Naval Architecture category at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. The Gala party took place yesterday, January 27th, in Cortina D’Ampezzo; the judges were struck in particular by the combination of major technological innovations with an extremely refined architectural approach.

The success of the Grande Collection shows no signs of ending, with its second award of the year received in the space of just a few short weeks. The panel of judges at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards, organised by one of the world’s most highly respected boat magazines, has chosen Grande 32 Metri as the winner of its “Naval Architecture Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts.

This comes just a few weeks after Azimut Grande 32 Metri was named “Best Motor Yacht in Asia” at the Christofle Yacht Style Awards (in the 25 to 30 meter category).

A forward-thinking project from every perspective, Grande 32 Metri stands out for its combination of an advanced naval platform with an extremely refined architectural approach. In fact, at its world debut during the 2018 CannesBoat Show, the yacht received the Best Interior Design award in the World Yachts Trophies (24 to 38 meter category).

The jury of the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards has awarded the prestigious recognition to the Grande 32 Metri recognizing the documented effort the shipyard made on several fronts to improve the yacht’s comfort and performance through an even more innovative use of the technology: from the investments in research and development, to the use of carbon fiber, up to the innovative D2P hull.

Speaking about the jury’s comments, Giovanna Vitelli, Azimut|Benetti Group Vice-President, recalled how: “Last year the flagship of the Grande Collection, the 35 Metri, had received numerous awards and with the new Grande 32 Metri we are keeping up with this lucky trend. Not only the market appreciates the distinctive features of the individual Azimut models, but we are also receiving positive feedback for all the renovation process, begun 4 years ago, of our entire Grande Collection, which we are currently expanding with two important new models. Our focus in the superyachyt area, supported by important investments in research and development, has indeed received excellent feedbacks from the market “.

The exteriors designed by Righini are bold and determined. The full-height windows in the bowstraddle the hull and superstructure, contributing to a reduction in the boat’s perceived volume, while the vertical bowdelivers excellent livability.

Like the other yachts in the Collection, the interiors are designed by Salvagniwith an approach that shies away from pure decoration to focus on spatial composition, ensuring they are equally cosy, simple and refined. The spaces are laid out on the basis of a succession of contrasts between full and empty and between polished dark and light-coloured woods.

Grande 32 has a Raised Pilot House, located on a half deck between the Main Deck and the Flybridge, and the entire superstructure is laminated inCarbon Tech with the addition of vinylester and epoxy resin. This technique reduces the weight of each individual carbon-laminated part by between 30 and 40%.

The D2P® Displacement to Planing hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio in partnership with the Azimut | Benetti Research and Development centre features a wave piercing bow that increases the length at the waterline, resulting in a better water plane coefficient in displacement mode, reduced hull resistance, and better wave strike in rough sea. In addition, the double-chine reduces hull resistance at more sustained cruising speeds and improves stability in displacement mode.

This new award adds even more prestige to an increasingly high-profile and well-loved Collection. The panel of judges who assign the Boat International Awards has already confirmed its appreciation of the combined charm and technology featured in Grande Collection models and last year named the Grande 35 Metri ‘Best New Production Yacht Design’.

At the gala evening organised by Christofle Yacht Style Awards 2019 to mark the Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous, Azimut Yachts, for the second year in a row, collected the prestigious prize won by the new entry in the Grande collection.

Azimut Grande 25 Metri climbs to the top step of the podium and wins the “Best Motor Yacht in Asia”Award in the 25-30 meter category. The panel at the Christofle Yacht Style Awards 2019 recognised and rewarded the most outstanding models for innovation, style and build quality, as well as for their ability to deliver an exceptional cruising experience for the owner and, finally, their special focus on the Asian market. These are all characteristic qualities of Azimut Yachts’ Grande 25 Metri, which is a model designed to amaze and features a style that achieves the ideal balance between charm and technology.

Built using Carbon Tech technology, it was designed for an owner with a clearly-defined and determined lifestyle who wants to stand out from the crowd. The interior design by Achille Salvagni presents an unprecedented blend of elegance and informality, while the sleek, light-touch exterior lines are by Stefano Righini. Featuring volumes on a par with those of an important motoryacht (as is confirmed by the garage for the tender and a layout designed to ensure the separation of crew and guest flows), it also amazes with an original take on the living area, where the typical separation of sofa and dining areas is abandoned in favour of a single, sophisticated setting, decorated with great care and personality.

The event, now in its second year, is promoted by magazines Yacht Style Asia, Luxuo and Palace, with the goal of identify and rewarding yachting sector excellence in Asia and worldwide.

The gala evening was held in the run up to the Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous, the yachting and luxury lifestyle event attended by Chanyo Manakulsawasd from MGC Marine, Thomas Woo and Paul Grande from Marine Italia, Azimut Yachts Asia dealers respectively for Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Unanimous their comment: “We are proud to represent in Asia such a prestigious brand that stands out for its reliability and ability to offer always new products. After the success of the Azimut Grande 35 Metri last year, we are glad that the 25 Metri of the same Collection has once again won this important award, keeping up the brand’s excellent reputation in a geographical area that particularly appreciates the features of Italian design and advanced technology typical of every Azimut yacht”.

During the kick off of the “Benetti Giga Season”, while in Livorno was launched the first of three gigayachts with length of more than 100 meters, “Good Day”, the fourth unit of Mediterraneo 116’, yacht in the Class product line, was christened in the waters of the Viareggio shipyard. This is a yacht that combines special comfort and refined exterior lines, born from the experience and the work of the designer Giorgio M. Cassetta.

“Good Day” is a 35.5-meter displacement yacht with a fiberglass hull and carbon-fibre superstructure. Giorgio M. Cassetta, who already put his signature on the other three Mediterraneo 116’ units, designed the vessel managing to meet the requirements of those who love the sea and want to fully enjoy all moments of navigation.

The path followed for the exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta is what characterizes this model and shows how great is the Shipyard desire to admire finally at sea a light but yet impressive yacht with sinuous and slim lines. Benetti’s Interiors Style Department flawlessly dealt with the interior layout, fulfilling the ship owner’s dream by involving him in the processes of design through interesting proposals that became the pivot of a good part of the work on which the project was developed.

Firstly, the owner desired a strong distinction of the settings and this became the common thread on which the whole project was based. The result is a great variety of materials that, used in different areas, are very eye-catching.

In fact, the concept of decor is focused on the alternation of three types of wood that, combined, ensure a very interesting colour game that characterizes each area in a unique way. In the Lower Deck the Tay, the Tanganyika and Elm were used; instead, only Elm and Tanganyika were used for the Upper Deck.

In addition to the wood, the boat is embellished with marble details and mosaics that characterize the bathrooms. In this case, the owner’s choice fell on the Travertino, Shara Noir and Port Laurent and on Ermosa and Blue Sea that give a very pleasant touch of colour.

On Main Deck, the main saloon is enhanced by the welcoming sofas and hosts a dining area with a beautiful round 12-seater table. Conviviality and comfort have in fact been the key words of the owner, who requested dining areas on all decks, along with a relaxation area with a swimming pool on the bow of the Upper Deck. The full-beam owner’s suite is located on the Main Deck, equipped with a comfortable wardrobe and characterized by large panoramic glazed surfaces that allow you to enjoy a real bath of light. A further request from the owner was the addition of a bathtub and a shower bench in the master bathroom.

On the Lower Deck are the four guest cabins while the Upper Deck, connected to the Sun Deck by an elevator, includes a karaoke area, which is also equipped with sofas that call to mind the need for comfort widely expressed by the owner. To enhance the environment and recall the conviviality theme, this area is embellished by a large wine cellar. The kitchen, also made according to a careful customization, is equipped with a steam oven and a modern wok system.

Finally, the Sun Deck is distinguished by the arrival station of the elevator, a large and comfortable dining area and a space dedicated to relaxation.
